About Your BUDDY and Me — Leader of the Pack

Kara Glaze grew up in San Diego. After working for 17 years in IT, she changed gears. Her dear friend, Sondra Lagnado, built “Your BUDDY & Me” but was relocating out of the city and looking for the perfect person who had the passion to continue the quailty of work she had established over the previous 10 years.

How did Your BUDDY and Me “happen?” It all started with Sondra's beloved pup, Rio. Rio was an active female black Lippet (lab-whippet) who craved exercise and mental stimulation. Sondra hired a dog walker to look after Rio when she was at work, but soon discovered that her true vocation was to care for dogs like Rio, whose owners are at work during the day and want their animals to have ample exercise during their absence.

“Your BUDDY & Me” started as a passion. As a trial run, Sondra took a 10-day vacation from corporate America and volunteered to take friends and neighbor's dogs on group outings. She has never looked back and since then has trained to become a professional dog walker. She opened Your BUDDY and Me in September of 2006. On their days off, you can often find Sondra and Rio at the hottest San Diego doggy spots.
